Teresa Couch

Teresa is the System Director for Nursing Practice and Innovation at Bon Secours Mercy Health System, Inc. and

holds executive accountability for the system’s nursing practice, and simulation learning programs.  In conjunction with CNE and VPs responsible for positioning, Teresa provides professional nursing direction for success by effectively executing and delivering results (i.e. KPIs) related to nursing care delivery. Teresa provides oversite for nursing practice and simulation resources and collaborates with system, market, and site nursing and quality leadership teams to support the system and nursing strategy quality objectives.  Under the direction of the VP of Nursing Practice, Education & Research Teresa ensures that nursing practice initiatives, evidence-based practice projects, nursing care innovations, and research studies advance opportunities to ensure a competent, confident nursing workforce, healthy work environments, and a safe, reliable, patient-centric experience of care across geography and practice settings.

Teresa joined the BIANK board in 2021 and is the wife of a brain injury survivor.
